Ms. Reid shares an hour with KyShon Johnson, creator of 100 Other Halves. A platform for women to discuss the impact of their father’s love, whether the relationship was positive, negative, or non-existent. She shares what her own journey has been like, how study abroad opened her eyes to the absence of not only Fatherhood but men in general in her community, and the issues that resurfaced in her personal life. Beginning in August of 2017 she embarked on a journey to hear if other women were having the same experiences, and to share some things she learned in research and books about women who did not have fathers. She shares some of the largest take-a-ways from the 100 women she sat down with. And reflections from the ways her father’s absence has impacted other areas of her life.
